If you collect sports cards, keeping track of sports card release dates can be just as important as knowing which players, teams, and sets you want to collect.
Every year, manufacturers release hundreds of new sports card products across baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, racing, golf, wrestling, UFC, and other categories. New hobby boxes, retail products, premium releases, rookie cards, inserts, autographs, parallels, and special-edition sets can all appear throughout the year.
That makes it difficult to keep track of everything.
Our Sports Card Release Calendar brings upcoming card releases together in one convenient place, helping collectors check release dates and plan their next hobby purchase.
What Is a Sports Card Release Calendar?
A sports card release calendar is a schedule showing when new trading card products are expected to become available.
Instead of checking different manufacturer websites, hobby stores, and collecting websites individually, collectors can use a release calendar to see upcoming products in one place.
Depending on the product, a release calendar can help you track:
- New sports card releases
- Hobby box release dates
- Baseball card releases
- Football card releases
- Basketball card releases
- Hockey card releases
- Soccer card releases
- Racing card releases
- Golf cards
- Wrestling cards
- UFC cards
- Multi-sport releases
- Special-edition products
- Upcoming trading card products
For collectors who follow several sports, having a central calendar can save considerable time.
2026 Sports Card Release Dates
The 2026 sports card release calendar includes new products arriving throughout the year from major manufacturers and across numerous sports.
Release schedules can change, and additional products can be announced after an initial calendar is published. That is why collectors should check the live calendar regularly rather than relying on an old list of release dates.
For the latest schedule, visit the CardStoresNearMe Release Calendar.
As of late September 2026, the upcoming schedule includes products such as 2026 Bowman Football, 2026 Topps Chrome Tennis, 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball, 2026 Bowman University Best Football, 2026 Topps Inception Football, 2026-27 Topps Flagship Basketball, 2026 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball, and 2026 Topps Museum Collection Baseball. Manufacturer schedules currently show several of these products arriving between September 30 and October 7.
Why Sports Card Release Dates Matter
For collectors, a release date is more than just a date on a calendar.
A new release can mean the beginning of a new collecting opportunity.
Collectors may be waiting for:
- A new rookie class
- A favorite player’s new card
- A new team set
- A premium hobby product
- A new autograph checklist
- A specific insert
- A limited parallel
- A new baseball card set
- A new football card set
- A new basketball card set
Knowing when a product is scheduled to release gives you time to research the set and decide whether it fits your collecting goals.
Upcoming Sports Card Releases Can Change
One thing every collector should remember is that sports card release dates are not always permanent.
Manufacturers can move release dates because of production schedules, shipping, checklist changes, or other factors.
For example, current manufacturer calendars explicitly note that dates are subject to change.
This is why a live trading card release calendar can be more useful than a static article published months ago.
When planning a purchase, always check the latest release information.
New Sports Card Releases to Watch

Soccer cards have become an increasingly important part of the modern trading-card hobby.
Collectors can track products covering:
- Premier League
- UEFA competitions
- MLS
- International teams
- Women’s soccer
- Other major competitions
Current 2026 schedules include products such as Topps Chrome MLS and other soccer releases.
Racing, Golf, UFC & Other Sports
The sports card hobby is much broader than baseball, football, basketball, and hockey.
Collectors can also find releases covering:
- Formula 1
- NASCAR
- Golf
- UFC
- WWE
- Women’s sports
- College sports
- International soccer
- Multi-sport products
A comprehensive sports card release calendar helps collectors follow these categories without having to search for each sport separately.
Hobby Box Release Dates
Many collectors specifically search for hobby box release dates because hobby products can contain different configurations, checklists, autographs, memorabilia cards, parallels, and other chase cards.
Before purchasing a hobby box, consider checking:
Release Date
When is the product scheduled to become available?
Checklist
Which players, teams, rookies, inserts, and autograph subjects are included?
Product Configuration
How many packs and cards are included?
Chase Cards
Which parallels, autographs, memorabilia cards, or short-print cards are collectors chasing?
Price
Does the product fit your collecting budget?
A release calendar can help you identify the product first, while product checklists and manufacturer information can help you decide whether you want to collect it.
